I liked the burning photocopies idea very much .This will surely work.
Is it legal? There could be a law written in the 1800s that bans something like this. Please confirm. Things like burning stuff have a tendency to go out of hand and create larger problems. IMHO, more peaceful means would be better.

The original intent of the thread is flawed and against the very purpose of creating such a thread. We have explained you during the phone conversation that it is not the right time to pick up country limits issue. We have run this by our strategist again and they have also advised us that its not the right time for this issue. Others on the forum, including unitednations, have also made an attempt to explain you the issues we are all dealing with. You are free to do whatever you think is best for you. We think that your actions are likely to harm the community effort. So in the best interest of the community effort, please be cautioned that we will be forced to ban you from this site if you continue this on the forum.

During your conversation with mirage, did you explain to him why it would hurt our cause ? From our discussion in the group, it didn't seem he was aware why IV core was against it.
I think the threat of "ban" is out of place for mirage. Even if you ban his user id, he can pursue with his agenda irrespective of whether he is banned or not. IV core should educate mirage and other focus group leaders than threatening to ban them.
There have been so many divisive threads on this forum. IV admins never thought of banning such members.
He is a genuine member maybe not knowledgeable as IV core. Thats all.

If US employer agrees to retain you as a consultant working from India. Can one continue to work for US employer on Indian salary as a consultant employed by Indian consulting firm? As a consultant we can come for a 3 month visit on B1/B2 and continue family life in India. Do you see any issues here?

Even after 180 days, your employer put a withdrawal request with proof of insufficient financial strength to pay you from the period start (within 180 days ) till the withdrawal request date then what will you do? Now it is clearly "un approvable" during "even within 180 days" . Now 180 days passed already? - yes. I-140 is already approved? - No, Employer filed withdrawal ?- yes? Employer shows underlying reason of insufficient finance capacity within 180 days - yes .. Then case closed - Denial - Next.

Until 180 days: If I-140 is denied or withdrawn, no GC. Note that you are not required to be working for sponsoring employer prior to your getting GC. There should be only an intent on both parties to establish employee/employer relationship upon getting GC
After 180 days: I-140 withdrawl has no effect provided beneficiary (you) has another job offer for the same/similar job. No new I-140 needed, if first I-140 was approvable.
I-140 denied after 180 days: No GC if still with same employer. If new employer (for same/simiar job), new I-140 is needed. If different job new LC and I-140 (keep original PD)
Bottomline is that there has to be at least one I-140 approved at some stage.

No onde denies that we cannot vote. But we have the basic rights, like being treated "equally and fairly". For example, if some employer violates labor law and did not pay you for your work, I am sure you can sue, even though you are not a citizen. There are some basic rights that everyone has, esp. if you hold good fainth and are damaged. Statement that you do not have any rights as you are not a citizen is just wrong. I am wondering how this will impact people's (esp. people from other countries) perception about this. :confused:

Documents Mailed: July 01, 2008
Receipt Notice: July 03, 2008
LUD: July 08, 2008
Current Status: My case was approved and card production ordered on August 14, 2008 (got the email from CRIS)
EAD Paper Filed (EB3-India, PD Nov 2006 : For Me and My spouse)

Finally we have decided to go back to India for good. I filed my EB3 in May 2003. Its going to be another 4 years to get the green card. When I went to India for vacation last December, we liked it over there & the economy is booming. There are all sorts of discussion regarding the Economic Gap/Politics/Corruption/Cleanliness. But we like it over there. Finally I will have an option to do something interesting. In US I was very much dependent on my monthly pay check and afraid to take even the slightest risk. I am also scared to use the AC21(Hey, thats the way I am). I am working with the same company for last 10 years, kinda stagnant in the last 4 years. In India, there are lots of choices, either to work for a sw company or start some business on my own. I think I will take the business route.
May be I can go there, earn well, send my son to US for college, do green card through him & come retire in US!!!

Hi everyone,
Iam a July 3rd filer and the moneyorders for me and my wife has been cashed on September 28th. We had send 2 moneyorders for $745. Waiting for the receipts to come. Hope all of you get your receipts very soon.
Very sorry guys!!But all the information that I got from lawyer's office was wrong. They did not send my I-485 on July 2nd as I thought. When I got the receipts the received date was July 20th. Receipts are from Texas. I hope you all get your receipts soon.
