On Aug 19th we got our CPO emails. I was on vacation so couldn't post the message to the site. After that no updates from USCIS. Still waiting on the Notice mails.

The way i understand this, not all companies are bound by the EOE laws.
Certain conditions have to be met to be considered an EOE.
Not every employer is an equal opp employer, so those guys can hire whoever they want.
Besides hiring folks on h1b, etc could add to costs for employers. So they choose not to employ such folks.

PD Jan 22 2006.
Infopass on Aug 3rd said everything is good to go.
opened SR no.1 for primary on aug 4th, was told cases were assigned on aug 3
Level 2 cust service said cases pre-adjudicated.
Reply to SR no.1 was standard - wait for 30 days.blah blah.
Congressman inquiry said cases assigned to officer.
opened SR no.2 for dependent on Aug 19.
i think the Aug 19 SR did the trick.

Question remains.. Why ? Why people dont do what is expected when they know that these initiatives are going to help them?
Lack of convincing power that IV will do something. Lack of trust in IV organization. Lack of advertisements. lack of communication.
How do successful organizations ask people to donate money? There is something to be learned. If the cause is right (we all know it is) then its a matter of delivering this message that will get people convinced. Lot of charities get donations. How? I think that is what we need to learn. Most desis are not even aware about this organization. I bumped into it via google search for my immigration answer. So lets throw some ideas around for better advertisements.

I only got CPO on 8/8/8 and soft LUD on 8/9/8/
My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.

It's definetly a shock and an usual post on these forums. I am spellbound by the support you are getting from the forum members. I am seeing the humanitarian attitude all around praying for your health. This should bring change about the way you think about your health. You are fighting against an enemy- the prognosis you got from the doctors. The only option left for you is winning against the enemy no matter what it takes. The foremost thought you should inculcate is that you are winning against the enemy. That's it. I believe the will power will definetly take you out of the fatal disease.
I know it is hard but try concentrating more on your health than other things including your family members. Hopefully generous IV members will do something for your family which probably can be done in our limits. Whereas it is you who has to fight against the disease and so you got to take care of your health first.

We would all like to part of a rally or protest but why give us only one days notice? Surely most people will not have read this post by tomorrow. We should organize this properly by sending out the message to the community well in advance and getting the required permits (I mean if you want this to be in any way successful that is).
