I got EAD Card Production ordered email yesterday for my wife!
EAD mailed to TSC - Aug 14th
ND - Aug 19th
Approval email - Sep 17th

As soon as we have confirmation of date and time and location/route, I will send out newsletters to all CA, NV, AZ and OR members who wish to participate. This is going to be good.
Sure, I will join the tomorrows march organized by fightnow. Since it is short notice for many IV members there may not be many of us there, but please feel free to join if you can. There are lot of IV members in San Jose.

In my humble opinion USCIS cannot be sued for NOT following their own guidelines. Thats the difference between guidelines and laws...But again I am not a lawyer.

Called just now and the agent gave me the receipt numbers for 485 and EAD. No details about AP.
Sent to NSC on july 2nd. Received by them on 3rd.
Had LUD on approved I140. (Transferred to TSC)
RNs start with LIN!!!

Guys
Guys don't talk about what undocumented workers are going to get, every one has their own story. Instead of comparing like they are going to get these and those, we need to concentrate on what we want. We don't even need to spend lot of time to discuss in this forum about what undocumented workers are going to get, nobody knows when they will get these privileges. In USA you don't get anything that easily, you have to work hard to earn it.
We need to concentrate on IV goals to remove the retrogression and backlog elimination by spreading IV its agenda to our friends to get more funds and members. I believe this approach will help us to achieve our goals, instead talking about about legal vs. illegal.

Section 205. Retaining Workers Subject to Green Card Backlog.
Allows foreign workers who have started the green card process, but who are subject to green card backlogs, to pay a $500.00 supplemental fee to file an application to adjust status. This change would enable foreign workers to remain in the U.S. until the green card becomes available
Section 201 item two says exemption for all advanced degree holder who worked in US for atleast 3 years in a "related" field. I know there might be issues with definition of "related" but seems job can be EB2/EB3 as long as the beneficiary has an advanced degree and the job is in related field - they are exempt. Am I reading it correctly? I think is how its in STEM right now. A very good back bill for us (if CIR fails to materialize).

Your strategy is to go against her own bill to recapture greencards that she introduced for us last year.
I think this is wrong.
Recapture is a good option if you want to do it right. Otherwise all ROW will oppose you. How are you different than the guys who open threads against Telgus or EB3 vs EB2 or against Muslims.
What you are doing is only dividng the community. My collegues who are also IV members are upset reading that someone in IV is pursuing a one point agenda against ROW. We need to stop and think. A lot of ROW are quiet members on IV forum and they will be upset.
Country caps can only be supported if there is recapture or increase in visa numbers.

Mr. Vayalar Ravi , Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs,is coming to USA on June 27,2006. He is coming to Washington DC on July 4 to meet Indian Ambassador and Indian community. We should try to meet him personally and explain the problems we are facing. He can talk to US counterparts and do something for us.
Let us organize an event to meet him on July 4. Since It is a holiday, lot of people can meet him and chat with him.

I'm guessing ppl who got LUDs recently (mostly on 21st) have been assigned visa numbers which are going to be released only nxt month and they will be approved only in the beginning of Sept.
Visa numbers for this month have been used up. And going by the # of ppl who got LUDs even if they were not current, my assumption is that their applications were in the same box as the ones who were current and it was a mass update. I think come Sept, they're going to take all applications out of the "LUD Boxes" and sort out only those who are current and start approving them.
Again, its all assumptions...Nobody knows for sure whats going on...
