They started it from March 4, 2011. I have asked the USCIS representative when i called today about when they are starting the Secure Mail Initiative to track Green Card/EAD. The procedure is still the same, if its lost in mail, you will have to file I-90. But atleast you will know if it has been mailed, to which city, state, zipcode it has been mailed to.

It was a false positive and your x-ray confirmed it. Your doctor would have given the appropriate determination in the I-693 sealed envelope. If you still get a RFE, follow the instructions and go to the USCIS approved doctor near you.

They might not send one to you if you request over the phone, this is for your own security since you keep hearing about cases where personal identity is stolen. If you have an online account, log in and send a request from there, they might send it to your email for a nominal fee though I am not sure. I got mine from Bank of America for 10$

The fee increase is only for companies which has more 50% of their employees on H1B visa. So counting 85K visa's for 4 years is not correct.

... for your help! Now, what do you guys think about getting paid until the end of June by the 1st employer (but at the same time starting to work inofficially i.e. observing only for the 2nd employer) and then going back to work for a couple of weeks for the 1st employer but staring to get paid by the 2nd so that it's fair for both? Would that be legal? If not, there really isn't a good way to deal with this since the new H1Bs are valid not before Oct (if i'd apply for 2 H1Bs), right? I obviously don't want to jeopardize my visa to make my old employer happy so don't want to do anything that's not completely OK in that regard....
In regards to the timing of a petition for a transfer (leaving all the other stuff above aside for a moment), let's say i'd like to start at the new employer 1st of July - to be on the safe side I should get a lawyer, plan a week for them to get the petition ready and then i'd have to wait a couple weeks for the receipt notice (which then allows me to work for the new employer, correct?) - so that would make it 3 weeks?

As I understand "Pending Adjustment" is not a status so how can my daughter stay in US legally if I switch to EAD.

That is a good question....because I have tried to save it as PDF and an EPS as well seeing if that would work, but it doesn't even show up as an option to open on the Blend side. Only the .ai file showed up. But I will try to export it with the PDF options.

Step 1: Call USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-(800) 375-5283 and record the time/date of the call and the name/number of the customer service representative: Explain to the customer service representative that your EAD has been pending more than 90 days and ask for a �service request.� You should receive a response to your service request within a week.
OR Ask the customer service representative to request an interim card for you. You should receive an EAD or response within a week.
Step 2: If you choose to visit a local USCIS office, schedule an INFOPASS appointment to visit that office on www.infopass.uscis.gov. At the appointment, ask to apply for an interim EAD. Note that USCIS local offices no longer issue interim EADs. The local office can review your case and determine eligibility. The local office will forward your request to the USCIS service centers. You should receive an EAD or response within a week.

I have future GC filed from Company X, the priority date is February 2006.
I am currently working for Company Y on H1B. This H1B will expire in April 2009. Company Y is also ready to file my GC and I would like to work with Company Y till by future GC is approved, my question is
If I have already filed for 485, EAD and AP through Company X, scenario will it be advisable to file another labour and I-140 through Company Y now?
What could be the implications?

According to the following document from USCIS they issued receipts for approx 150K applications for AOS in sept. So my estimate of the total back log is
June filers 75k
July - 25k
August 200k
Sept 150k
Oct 50K
Total = 500k

We need to know the applications receipted in Oct 2007 to get the full picture of the July VISAGATE!

Sakthisagar & RSM144 many thanks for posting, the spring document has a target date of Oct 2010, I believe there is a chance of this happening sometime with the fee increase, they will have a fee for this. Hope this rule comes into play it is good news for us.
