Myself and spouse received I797 , 485 approval notices with one on 10/15 and another on 10/18. I took infopass and had the I551 stamping. I guess now the wait starts for the physical cards. I heard that they are produced in batches so that would cause the delay

If CNN drops Lou that will not pass CIR or recapture. There are so much Lou Dobbs are there in USA. It is a waste of time.
Exactly. I was of the same opinion. CNN dumping a pathetic whiny loser like Lou Dobbs might give temporary satisfaction, but it has no positive effect on EB immigration. Plus there are a dozen other idiots who might be ready to replace him as the crazy-in-chief on that stupid talk show. Why even bother?

What was your experience when you invoked AC21 both the times? Did you or your employer notified USCIS? was there any difference in title and or responsibilities? Did you try make sure the job title match with teh SOC codes that is on your labor?
hey man, if i were you, i wouldn't do this..i personally changed jobs twice in ac21 and would not do this change..

Hey, it is welcome, but it is also proof that the people running this system cannot count.
Logically if EB2 India is U currently it means that no visas are left, I know how to count to zero, following the rules they must have found new visas under the carpet or miscounted issued visa, or expecting a lot of spill over from EB1, unless they have changed interpretation of rules for EB2, like EB2 can now take from EB3.

Our lawyer Company has decided to file the AOS application in July
I work for a big 5 Software company & our lawyer Littler Global had taken a stand on July that they will not file our AOS application after the June VB was revoked/amended on July 2nd.
Surprisingly , today we have received a mail from them that that keeping in view our best interest they have decided to file our AOS case in July regardless of CIS receipting them.
Wanted to share this information as it may be helpful for you folks too ...

My PD is June 04 and the online status for my LC shows CERTIFIED since last week. Attorneys say they need DOL to send them the approved LC ... some document, which would be needed to file I-140 and I-485. Any idea how much time it takes for DOL to send the above said document back to the applicant or representative?
In that case, have your paper work ready such as medical tests, birth certs & related.

Even though this is your first post ever you are right, so you seem to understand things much better than people who have been following this forever. There are no favaroable amendments for us, the "good news" so far is proposed amendment from Collins which is going to abolish consulting for H1!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the sort of favorable amendmnets which will keep comming if the CIR comes back and on top of this, the reporter who wrote about this amendmnet, says that this brainwave amendment came after Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer met with Kyl!!!!!!!!!!
The moral of the story is, such "good" amendments will keep comming if tech industry keeps lobbying for us :mad:
Lets hope cir dies and if not then start opposing CIR
I seriously doubt if they will introduce favorable GC amendments in the next round.The focus is on the illegals and we will get negatively affected in the process. Our best course of action would be to oppose this bill and hope for it to fail. My 2 cents.

It looks like a case of misunderstanding. Did you explain why you had the change of heart?. Explain your personal situation -like you are explaining here- with the pregnancy and commute time and doctors visits that are required every week?. I am not sure why a sane person wont understand the reasons why you decided not to join them. Further, if they do not understand, ask them if they have filed paperwork for H1?. If NO, then what is the claim of $3000 for?
I explained my situation (I told them everything I wrote here) to them, but they don't care to listen. I have asked for the sign of contract proof and after that so far no mails from them.

GUYS, YOUR PRIORITY DATE IS 2006 and why you are asking for the premium processing when many of your friends are still waiting to file their I 140 or I 485.

... for your help! Now, what do you guys think about getting paid until the end of June by the 1st employer (but at the same time starting to work inofficially i.e. observing only for the 2nd employer) and then going back to work for a couple of weeks for the 1st employer but staring to get paid by the 2nd so that it's fair for both? Would that be legal? If not, there really isn't a good way to deal with this since the new H1Bs are valid not before Oct (if i'd apply for 2 H1Bs), right? I obviously don't want to jeopardize my visa to make my old employer happy so don't want to do anything that's not completely OK in that regard....
In regards to the timing of a petition for a transfer (leaving all the other stuff above aside for a moment), let's say i'd like to start at the new employer 1st of July - to be on the safe side I should get a lawyer, plan a week for them to get the petition ready and then i'd have to wait a couple weeks for the receipt notice (which then allows me to work for the new employer, correct?) - so that would make it 3 weeks?
